In addition to receiving sign in codes via text message, you can also get a code via push notification. A push notification is a message that appears on your mobile device even when the app is not open. Using push notifications to receive codes can be more convenient than receiving them via text message, in case you have a bad network signal in remote areas. Push notifications also provide an extra layer of security, as they can only be received on devices that are linked to your account.
What to expect:
- You must be signed in on a mobile device in order to receive codes via push notification.
- If you are not getting the code via push you can request the code to be sent via SMS.
- Note that you must have push notifications enabled for the app in order to receive codes this way. You can enable push notifications in the settings menu of your mobile device.
To receive a code via push:
- You must be signed in on a mobile device in order to receive codes via push notification.
- Open the app on your mobile device or desktop.
- Navigate to the login screen.
- Enter your username and password.
- You will receive a push notification to your mobile device.
- Tap on the notification. It will open Qwil and a modal will appear with your code.
- If you are having trouble receiving the code via push you can request the code to be sent via SMS.
