Prepare your CSV To Upload Clients to their Teams
To make sure the process is seamless for your clients, it is recommended to prepare your CSV upload before migrating. If you need any support in this process you can always contact our support team. To do this follow the below instructions:
- From your desktop, click on the admin menu
- Click on Client Teams.
- Click Create and set a name for your client team.
- Click on add members and add the appropriate staff users to their team
- Repeat steps 3 & 4 until you have set up all your staff users into their teams.
- Now click on Clients and click on Export
- This will give you a list of your clients on Qwil which you can open in excel. Create a new column in the spreadsheet labeled "Client Team". Populate this column with the name of their assigned client team(making sure to keep the name consistent).
- In Excel click on "Sort and Filter" and Sort the names in alphabetical order.
- Go back into your Qwil Admin tab and click into Client Teams.
- Find and click into the first client team (alphabetically) from your spreadsheet and copy the UUID.
- Create a new column in the spreadsheet labeled "Team UUIDs" and paste in the UUID for the clients assigned to that team. Repeat this for all client teams
- You should now have a spreadsheet with all your client data, and in that client's row will also be the client team name and UUID.
- Once you have done this you can download an emptyCSV template
- From your client list, copy the "entity member UUID" column, from beneath the title, and paste into your CSV template's column with the same title.
- Now you need to carefully copy the "Team UUIDs" column, from beneath the title, and paste into the "group UUID" column in your CSV template
- Make sure you have the data copied over for all your clients
- Save this spreadsheet, ready for your migration.
