Scanning a document and add it to the chat
No need for a scanner or taking a picture of a document.
Qwil now includes a built in scanner for up to 10 pages. As you would for a document or photo, click on the paperclip and select Scan Document. Hover your phone over the page to be scanned and the Qwil scanner will automatically detect the page. Once all pages are scanned, it will be uploaded to the chat thread as a pdf.

How to Scan a document
- In order to scan your document, first open the chat you would like to send a document in to on your mobile app (or start a new one if you don't have a chat yet).
- Click the paperclip attachment button on the bottom left and select Scan Document.
- Position your document in frame and Qwil will automatically detect and capture the picture.
- Scan file sizes may be very big depending on the phone model. We recommend that once you have scanned your pictures, click on the image on the bottom left to preview your photos.
- Change the filter to Grey Scale.
- Click Done and then Save and then send your document into the chat.
What to do if the scanner is not detecting your document correctly
- On the top right of the scanner click on the Auto button to turn off the automatic shutter.
- Line up your document and click on the round capture button at the bottom of the screen.
- Adjust each corner of the image to fit the document
- Click Keep Scan if you're happy with the result or Retake if not.
How to Scan multiple pages
- Scan your first page
- Instead of opening preview or pressing Save, continue to scan the next page.
- Once you have captured every page click on the image on the bottom left to preview.
- To ensure the file size isn't too large, change the filter to Grey Scale.
- Click Done and then Save and then send your document into the chat.
