Who can use this feature?
All users
If you forgot your password you can reset it from the sign in page.
To reset your password you will need:
- Your Qwil ID (we sent this to you when you first joined) or username.
- Your account phone number to receive a 6 digit authentication code.
- Access to your secure email address.
Note: Your account address is the email linked to your Qwil Messenger account. See Understanding emails and phone numbers.
The password reset can be done on mobile, desktop app, and browser.
Important note: You must enter your username to reset your password not your email.
Reset your password
- Navigate to the sign in page (click here)
- Click on 'I forgot my password'.
- Enter your Qwil ID or username. This is not your email address.
- You will receive an email with a link to reset your password to your account email address.
- Click on the link.
- You will receive an SMS code to your account phone number.
- Create and confirm your new password. See password requirements.
- You will receive an SMS code to your account phone number.
- Enter the SMS code and click Submit.
- Your password will be updated.
