Who can use this feature?
Staff users only
Staff members can remove people from chats that they belong to.
There are two types of removal:
- Uninvite - If a participant is uninvited, they will still be able to read the history of messages and shared media of the chat (up until they were uninvited).
- Revoke - If a participant is revoked they will no longer be able to view the chat or any of its content. The chat will no longer appear in their chat list. A participant that left or was uninvited can subsequently be revoked.
How it works:
- Removed participants will be listed in the Former participants list in the chat details. Uninvited participants will have a three-dot menu next to them, revoked participants will not.
- You can click on a former participant to see the details of when they were uninvited/revoked from the chat.
- A system message will appear on the chat to inform other participants when someone has been removed.
- To re-join a chat that you were removed from you must be invited back by another participant.
