Who can use this feature?
All users
In Qwil, your contact list is populated with either staff members that cover you (if you are a client) or members within the Client team (staff and clients).
You cannot edit your contact list as this is managed by the organisation's administrator. You will have a different contact list for each organisation that you use on Qwil.
Note: Client teams are fundamental in protecting your confidentiality and privacy as they determine who you can chat with in any given organisation on Qwil.
Staff members also have access to the Directory, which includes all other staff members of your organisation. If you are a staff member, directory members will not appear in your contact list by default but you can use the search function to find them.
Roles:
If you are client member:
You can do the following actions with members of your contact list:
- View
- Create a chat with a staff member
- Call and email from a mobile device
Note: Clients cannot invite other members to a chat. Only Staff can do that.
If you are a staff member:
You can do the following actions with members of your contact list and directory:
- View
- Create a chat with clients and staff
- Invite staff or clients to an existing chat
- Uninvite/Revoke access to a chat
- Call and email from a mobile device*
Note: As a staff member you may have restricted access to this functionality according to your organisation's settings.
To view a contact:
On web:
- On the left hand menu click on the contact icon .
- You will see your contact list.
- If you are a staff member, you can use the search to find members of the directory.
On mobile:
- On the bottom menu, tap on the contact icon .
- You will see your contact list.
- If you are a staff member, you can use the search to find members of the directory.
Tip: On a contact's page you can see a list of all the chats you share with them well as what documents they have shared with you.
