Who can use this feature?
System & User administrators only
As an administrator, you can temporarily block a user's access to your organisation's Qwil services by suspending their account. This can be useful when you need to suspend a user's access to your organisation temporarily, for example when travelling or when on leave.
What happens when I suspend a user?
When you suspend a user:
- Their chats, attachments, and other data aren’t deleted.
- They still appear as active to other users, but their profile will be set to Unavailable.
- They can be invited and removed from chats.
- Suspended users can still sign in to their Qwil Messenger account, but they will not be able to see or download any data, this includes chats, attachments, contacts, etc.
After suspending a user, you can restore their account at any time.
To suspend a user:
- From your desktop, click on the admin menu.
- Click on Staff or Clients.
- Locate the user you wish to suspend.
- On the user page, you will see More Actions on the top-right. Click on it.
- In the dropdown menu click on Suspend.
- A confirmation modal will open. Click confirm.
You can also suspend a user directly from the user list by clicking on the three-button menu and selecting Suspend user.
To see your suspended users, go the Staff or Client menu, and select Suspended in the filter options.
To Unsuspend a user:
