Who can use this feature?
System & User administrators only
If you entered an incorrect email or phone number in an invitation do not worry, you can easily edit the user's details and resend the invitation.
There are a few things you need to know:
- When you edit the primary email address of a pending user a new invitation will be automatically created and sent to their new email address.
- However, if you only edit the phone number of a pending user you will need to manually resend the invitation.
- Make sure you inform the user that they should look for the most recent invitation in their email inbox, as all older invitations will be expired.
To find your pending users:
- From your desktop, click on the admin menu
- Click on Clients or Staff.
- Select Pending in the filter options. All pending users will be listed along with their invitation status.
To edit a pending user's invitation email address:
Note: Make sure you are editing a user's primary email as this will be used for the invitation. You should also edit the contact email, as this is what will be visible on their profile. See understanding emails and phone numbers for more details.
- From your desktop, click on the Admin menu.
- Click on Clients or Staff.
- Locate the user you wish to edit.
- Under Organisation information, click on the Edit button.
- Write a new email address and click Save Changes.
- A new invitation will automatically be sent to the new email address.
To edit a pending user's phone number:
Note: Make sure you are editing a user's invitation phone number as this will be used for the invitation. You should also edit the contact phone number, as this is what will be visible on their profile. See understanding emails and phone numbers for more details.
- From your desktop, click on the Admin menu.
- Click on Clients or Staff.
- Locate the user you wish to edit.
- Under Invitation information, click on the Edit button.
- In the phone number field, start typing their number with the international code (e.g. +44). A flag will appear. Do not change the flag as this will change the international code and users will not be able to receive codes.
- Click Save Changes.
