- Signature improvements. Users can choose their signature font, draw on screen or upload their signature. Note signature is only on desktop (as needing larger screen to preview) - mobile will come Q2 2024
- New template editor so you can drag and drop to a pdf document (no longer need to add anchors) making it super simple.
- When users create a signature request they will be able to preview the file and the templated fields before sending.
- Compliance officers can preview PDF files sent in the organisation directly in the Data Reviewer menu.

- Biometric approval requests. Obtain a biometric approval from staff or clients directly from a chat thread. The user will use Face ID / Fingerprint to confirm your request.

Functionalities (April - May 2023)
- E-signatures: Send and sign documents without ever leaving Qwil or logging in to a separate service. Edit any document (Word & PDF) to create a template.
- Qwil Meet Guests: Invite a non-qwil user to a video call via a secure link. Stay in control with waiting room and ID features.
- Email reminders sent by each organisation. You can fine tune your reminder settings for each organisation that you engage with. Set your preferences in your profile.
- Improvements: Other users away status will update in real time.
Functionalities (March 2023)
- New two-factor authentication method. Sign in to a new device using a code sent to the Qwil mobile app instead of receiving the code via SMS. This is particularly useful when SMS delivery is unreliable or you have a spotty network connection.
- Staff-only chats. Staff users can now create staff-only chats for internal use. Only staff members can join a staff-only chat.
- Client chat indicator. Any chat that contains clients displays a yellow indicator to help staff users know that they are communicating with clients. Client users also have a yellow circle around their profile picture.
- Staff indicator. Staff users have a blue circle around their profile picture to easily identify them as staff.
- File manager. Find files shared in any conversation. All files sent by a user or their contacts in any chat they share will be listed in the file manager. Users can preview or download files from the manager and navigate to the chat where the file was sent.
- Delete message improvements. Users will now be able to see who read a message before it was deleted.
- Invitation status. We added colours to the invitation status of a user to help admin users quickly identify if an invitation is pending, expired, bounced, etc.
- Message details improvement. Users can now see the message details of a reply, so they have more context of the original message.
- Navigate to message. When viewing shared images or files in a chat a user can navigate to the message where the attachment was sent.
- Qwil Meet (audio, video, screen sharing) now has moderator functionality, polls, message (not saved) and enhanced recording features.

Desktop
Functionalities (November 2022)
- Delete messages. Users can now delete messages they have sent in a chat. Only the person that sent the message can delete it. For security and compliance purposes, audit reviewers can still review deleted messages.
- Copy meeting link. When a meeting is created, users can copy the meeting link to join the meeting from their preferred browser. This link must not be shared as it contains individual credentials.
- In-app notifications on web and desktop. When users receive a message while inside Qwil, they will see a notification inside the application. In-app notifications can be enabled or disabled from Account & Settings.
- Audit - see all messages sent in a chat. New audit reviewer functionalities allow auditors to display all the messages sent in a specific chat without the need to export a PDF file of the chat transcript.
- Recover password. We have added more help so users can recover their passwords when forgotten.
- Download desktop app button. We added a button to the left-hand-side menu, so users can download the desktop app more easily.
- Crop logo. Admin users can now crop their organisation's logo and avatar when setting their branding.
Functionalities (July 2022)
- Schedule meetings. Staff users can now schedule a meeting for later. Scheduled meetings are valid for a year and can be reused until they expire.
- When a user schedules a meeting they'll also receive a butler message to inform them the meeting was successfully created. This message includes a button to copy a link to the message with the meeting details. Users can paste this link into their calendar or share it via email with other participants of the chat.
- Improved user import. We now support partial phone prefixes when importing users via CSV files: +44xxx; 44xxx; 0044xxx
- Delete account. Users can open a request to delete their Qwil Messenger account. To be able to delete their account users must no longer be associated to any organisation (organisation admins have to deactivate their profiles).
- Request demo. Users can request a demo directly from the Qwil Messenger app. Click on the help dropdown on the header and select 'Request demo'.
Functionalities (March 2022)
- Exact matches in search. Users can now find exact matches of their search terms by putting a word or phrase inside quotes.
- Users with data reviewer permissions can navigate from their data reviewer results to a chat if they are an active or former participant.

- New Data reviewer permissions. As an admin, you can now grant different access levels to staff users for Data reviewer.
- Data reviewer enhancements. Users with data reviewer permissions can now list all documents sent in a chat.
- Augmented integration capabilities with new deep-link functionalities. Admin users can now pre-populate client and staff invitations using deep links. Also, users with data reviewer permissions can search for chats using deep links.
- Send a custom message with your invitations. As an admin, you can add a custom message to client and staff invitations.
Functionalities (December 2021)
- Video and audio meetings. Admins and staff users can start audio or video meetings from the security of Qwil Messenger. Meetings are created inside a chat, so all chat participants can join.

Functionalities (November 2021)
- Broadcast a message. Admins and staff users can broadcast a message via each user's Butler chat. Users will find a new menu entry on their left-hand sidebar. Learn more.
- List of shared chats and documents with a contact. Users can now see a list of all chats they share with a contact as well as any attachments that a contact has shared with them.
- Improved PDF preview. Users can now navigate PDF files with more ease, change a preview's rotation, and select a scrolling mode.
- Desktop app now has spell check. Users will need to download the new version.
Functionalities (October 2021)
- Users can now reply to specific messages or attachments. Simply hover over a message and click on reply-to.
- Jump to a specific date. Users will be able to navigate chat threads more easily by jumping to a certain date to quickly review past messages. Click on the calendar icon on the bottom right of the chat.
- Date header. Chats threads have a date header so users can always know when a message was sent.
- Users will be able to preview PDF files directly inside Qwil Messenger without the need to download them to their device. Click pdf with the magnifying glass when hovering over.
- Administrators will receive a butler message informing them of expired invitations. The message will include a button to allow them to resend all expired invitations in one go.
- The data reviewer page has been redesigned. Users with data reviewer permissions will now be able to see more information on each result including the last message sent to a chat, when it was created, and all current and former participants.
- We have added a handy reload button to our application. When you lose your network you can reload the page to recover your connection faster.
- New deep link URL action. Users can now download a PDF transcript of a chat thread using deeplinks.
Invitation Process (June 2021)
- All new users will be asked to choose their username (instead of receiving a Qwil ID) and they set their password making it easy to remember. Existing users can change their username under account and settings.
- Staff administrators can now invite clients in one single step, with a new contact group created simultaneously which can be edited from the same screen. A new simpler CSV upload is also coming soon.
- Invitations for staff have been simplified. The role is by default "Staff" and can be upgraded to User Administrator or System Administrator by accessing the user profile.
- System administrators can now decide for 1FA (without SMS) or 2FA (with SMS) invitations for all users. Understand the differences here.
Functionalities (June 2021)

Downloads and Email reminders (March 2021)
- Users accessing Qwil on their browser are now prompted to download the desktop application for a better user experience. They can also continue using the browser of course.
- All users are asked if they are sure they want to log out. Only log out if you are using a public/shared computer to avoid having to enter your username, password and SMS each time.
- Staff will receive a notification via the Butler if an incorrect email is used for a client invitation. Click here to learn how to correct it.
- All users will receive an email reminder telling them they have unread messages so as to never miss an important chat or document. A weekly reminder is also coming soon.
Mobile
Functionalities (June 2022)
- Search for a message on mobile. Users can search for chat title (current and previous), messages, attachment name and caption.
- We've moved the archived chat list to the search menu. Just tap on the 'Archived chats' item to see your archive.
- Users can now navigate to the original message in a reply. Simply tap on the quoted message and you'll be directed to it.
