Meet, discuss, and share ideas with audio and video calls. With Qwil Meet you can talk to your clients and colleagues directly from the security of Qwil Messenger. You will be able to manage, track and elevate your virtual meetings, conferences, and discussions keeping conversations all in one place.
What to expect
- Meetings are created inside a chat by Staff members. All chat participants will be able to join.
- You can add a topic to your meeting (only on web) and specify if it will be an audio or video call.
- Up to 15 participants can join a meeting.
- When you join a meeting a new tab will open. In some browsers, you may need to enable pop-up windows. See below. For a list of supported browsers click here.
- Clients cannot start meetings but can join them.
- Meeting links expire after 6 hours.
- Meetings can be joined on desktop, browsers, and mobile but always starting from Qwil Messenger.
- A calendar invite can be sent including the reference to Qwil Meet meeting to take participants straight to the chat thread
- You can't record Qwil Meet but can download a plugin to do so. See how to do it here.
- Please note that screen sharing is not supported on mobile browsers (including tablets).
To start a meeting (Meet now):
On web:
- Open a chat where you wish to start a meeting.
- Click on Start a meeting on the chat header.
- A modal will open. Add a topic (optional), select meeting mode (audio/video), and click Start meeting. A new message with the topic and a button Join now will appear in the chat for everyone to join.
- If the meeting is planned for later, just include a chat with the start time (in the topic of Qwil Meet for example). You can also send a calendar invite to a client by including the information in Copy link when hovering over the Qwil Meeting chat. This will take participants straight into Qwil and into that chat.
- A new tab will open (you may need to enable pop-ups, see below). If the meeting is planned for later, just close the tab and click the Join now button closer to the time.
- When prompted allow Qwil to use your microphone and camera.
Note: If the meeting does not automatically open in a new tab your browser may ask you to enable pop-up windows. Click on Preferences and select Allow pop-ups.
On mobile:
- Open a chat where you wish to start a meeting.
- Tap on the video icon on the chat header.
- Select to start an audio or video meeting.
- You will be navigated to your mobile browser. When prompted allow Qwil to use your microphone and camera.
- On the landing page, you can test your microphone and video. Tap Join meeting.
